Preschool runs from the first of September to the middle of May from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for children 3.5 to 5 years of age.
If your child is scheduled for child care during those times, he/she is automatically included in the preschool at no extra charge.
The preschool focuses on teaching your child how to prepare to have a positive experience at school. We work on social skills such as taking turns, sharing, standing in line, working as a team. We read lots of stories and learn to listen and sit still. The children have a lot of time to play with toys that have been specifically selected to increase their curiosity or work out problems or explore their world.
Each week we have a music class developed byABC Music & Me, a research-based early childhood curriculum that uses thematic lessons
to help young children learn important language, listening, and social
skills. Created by Kindermusik International, a leading provider of
early childhood programs, ABC Music & Me makes it easy for the
classroom teacher to harness music to engage students and teach them
skills ranging from vocabulary and expression to self-regulation.
